Berlusconi is accused of having had relations with government officials

The scandal about the private life of Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, took a new twist today when Senator Paolo Guzzanti posted on his blog that the premier had sex with "people who now occupy very high positions." He said that these allegations are supported by telephone records "That all newspaper editors have, but decided not to use them at the request of President Giorgio Napolitano." As made clear that "the day that a judge would question me to know how I got this information and who was the journalist who tried to read this material, do my duty and reveal their names." Napolitano was forced to deny such on the order allegedly given to newspaper editors not to publish information about another sex scandal "il Cavaliere".

image was why the president issued a statement saying that the statement of Guzzanti is "totally unfounded." Berlusconi, 72, faces an upward pressure since early May, when his wife Veronica said it was seeking a divorce, saying she can not stay with a man who "frequents minors." But the link between Berlusconi with a 17 years was overshadowed by allegations that he paid for a female companion in his private parties. One of the companions said that he had slept with him and has audio recordings to prove it, but the premier refused to have paid for sex, but stated that "not a saint." While the popularity Berlusconi fell, still enjoys 49 percent approval rating and a majority in both Houses of Parliament.
